Madinat Jumeirah is one of the top things to see in Dubai. It has a stunning view of Burj Al Arab, a sailboat-shaped hotel which is an incredible and luxurious piece of art. There are lots of amazing restaurants, nice shops, and many things to do. A beautiful canal runs through luxurious palaces, resorts, hotels, and houses. You can take a 30-minute boat tour to explore all this wonderful place from a traditional wooden Arabian boat.

I have had the opportunity to be in Venice, Italy and I can say with no doubt that Madinat Jumeirah is very similar to it even though both places are incomparable due to their different sizes and architecture. If you compare Madinat Jumeirah to Venice, Madinat Jumeirah is cleaner, smaller, quieter, more organized and luxurious, and in my opinion, more beautifully designed.

Our experience

I visited this place with a friend and teacher whose name is Albert. We visited Madinat Jumeirah during our second day in Dubai. The reason why we decided to visit it at that particular time was because we had a reservation in one of Burj Al Arab’s bars for a later time that day, so it was a convenient way to visit those two places the same day. We were very happy that we managed to visit that lovely place. It is one of our favorite places that we visited in Dubai.

While we were there, we decided to buy a ticket for the boat tour. I don’t remember the exact price of the ticket, but it wasn't expensive and it was definitely worth it. Albert and I loved every moment of the ride. It was a very beautiful experience for both of us. The Arabian boat took us to see the entire resort complex. Another reason why taking a boat tour was a perfect decision is that from the boat we could also see places where not everyone has access to. There are some places which can be accessed only by people who have accommodation in one of the luxurious hotels which are located in the complex. So if you’re not a guest of one of those hotels, the only way you can see them is from the boat.

The style of the Madinat Jumeirah is incredible. I really liked how they combined tradition and luxury in one place. You can find buildings that were built in a traditional Arabian style next to modern luxurious hotels and that is what makes this place unique and gorgeous. It’s a mix of old and new architecture that looks fabulously together.

If you ever visit Dubai, we recommend you to visit Madinat Jumeirah. You won’t regret it.
